Elspeth Vince lives and works in London, UK. With roots in printmaking and installation, she now works predominantly in paint. Elspeth uses self-portraiture as a vehicle to investigate the dark corners of the mind. She plays with existential questions on morality and purpose, especially in relation to the ‘mother’ and ‘Madonna’ archetypes. Space, light, and shadows play a large role in her practice both physically and symbolically. Last year Elspeth and her work featured in Gucci’s fashion campaign ‘New Wave Art’. Her works are owned by various collectors and collections around the world including Studio Nari HQ’s permanent collection.
